The "Lost A Bet" Thread

I know we all (Well, I know I do at least) do stupid things. Whether it's putting our foot in out mouth from arrogance or because we've lost a bet. I thought it'd be a neat thread for people to list some of the things they've had to do because: a.) they were so proud of themselves and wanted to prove something or b.) they were just so lucky to lose a bet.

Last week, I made the statement to a friend that I could careless about what people thought of how I looked. This person told me that I was just full of myself, all talk and wouldn't go through with anything. As such, she dared me to shave my legs from, at least, the knee down. Well, I'm the kind of person that's so arrogant that I'll do something stupid to prove a point. My reply to her dare, that I would be more willing to "go against" society by shaving my legs then she would by not shaving her legs. Well, here I am now with my hairless legs trying to prove a point. The terms of the dare were this, I have to keep my legs shaved until the end of the school year and she has to keep hers unshaven. Whoever cracks first and gives up, is least willing to "go against" society. I don't know whether to say "wish me luck" or "punch me." ;)

Nothing's coming to mind. I have an as-of-yet unresolved bet with my brother for the vast sum of $5 on whether or not he can finish The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess in 30 hours.

You know, you actually have the tougher deal because 1) you have to remember to shave your legs every few days. 2) you have to explain this whole thing to any person who asks, "what's up with your legs,"

Your friend has it easier because she doesn't have to do anything, and not shaving is like one less chore to do. She can wear pants and if anyone asks, it is much easier for the female to say, "I was too lazy to shave." and she'll get that sympathetic head tilt and grin from the other females.

So I wish you luck, for sure. Just know that your friend has it way easier than you!

Nope, we're still going strong at it. I'm still hairless and she's turning into Big Foot. I hear that she's complaining a lot and might end up shaving her legs. One thing is for sure, it's easier for a guy with hairless legs to wear shorts then it is for a hairy girl to wear shorts. :D
