Still Burzum...
I'm fairly sure there's already threads about this, but I feel like posting anyway. I'm really getting into some local music at the moment which probably only 2% of you would have heard of but here's a list of up and coming rock act from OZ
The Grates (first band with a girl as the lead singer that I've really liked)
Wolfmother (awesome live set :yup: )
Eskimo Joe (great new album)
Snow Patrol (just got their new album, they may not be from AUS)
TV on the Radio (funky new album has some awesome creativity packed into it)
* This is all in the last month by the way. I don't post much about music, even tho i'm a music nut, don't know why.

I'm really not into the mainstream music of today. I enjoy: jazz, blues, clssical, and a little opera from time to time. I'm really anticipating the new album by Tom Waits due out the end of this month.

I like too many different types of music to pick a favourite, I listen to Radio 1 (www.bbc.co.uk/radio1) when i'm sat in the cab of my lorry, so at the moment i'm liking The Kook's, Razorlight and Panic at the Disco, When i'm at home though it could be anything, I've been going through my music collection recently and listening to loads of different stuff, Bob Marley, Pink Floyd, Queen, Old Dance Compilation CDs i've got, Happy Hardcore, Cheesey 80's stuff, I think i've got the most random cd and Mp3 collection out of everyone i know!

My favourite band of today is definitely Arctic Monkeys. I don't care what anyone says, their music is great.

I also like....Amy Winehouse.
Something about her, I just don't get. Even though it's really catch and repetitive, I can't stand her music.
I'm diggin the Sick Puppies and Modest Mouse right now.

I have way too much of an eclectic range in musical taste to list all that I like, but lately I have been listening to Amy Winehouse, Husker Du and Bad Religion.

Over the past few months, I've been gradually hearing more and more metal. First Metallica, then Megadeth, now into Pantera.

I've been introduced to this great pop artist: Lily Allen. She's got a light sound and bitter, bitchy lyrics. Great stuff.

Since last October it's been anything by Michael Nyman (especially the Greenaway Soundtracks and The Kiss). Also still listening to the old favorites: Tom Waits (especially his later albums), a couple of old Foetus albums (Nail, Hole), The Pogues, Yellow Magic Orchestra, Aphex Twin, Einsturzende Neubauten: 1/2 Mensch, Soma, Butthole Surfers. The Fall: This Nation's Saving Grace has also been getting played a lot in these parts.
