Ok, it's not technically a movie...but it's much more of a movie than it is a TV show, IMO. I just got finished watching the first episode, and I'm in awe. It seems to be living up to it's hype. I'm all confused as to what's going on...there are TONS of suspects. Already some nice twists, too. :) I hope it doesn't actually take 24 weeks to cover the whole thing: that's almost half a year! My guess is a few episodes will cover more than one hour...but we'll see.

Anyway, did anyone else watch this? Any theories?

SPOILERS!

I keep thinking: what if Jack ends up being tricked into doing something in the last episode, ala "Arlington Road"? What if it's someone REALLY close to him? A few theories I have so far:
Senator Palmer has some dark secret...however, he's still a basically good guy.

That York guy isn't genuine...he's actually going to take hold/kidnap Jack's family, or something like that. If not that, then it'll be something similar that has him being used as bait, or has someone else engineering the whole thing to try to mess with Jack.

Perhaps there are two extremist groups here? We'd have one hiring that German "photographer" to shoot Palmer, and then another in the opposite direction that is willing to blow up a plane full of people to stop him.
What's everyone think? :)

Didn't see it but I heard the plane blowing up was disturbing. I think it is 24 episodes cuz each is one hour covering a day (I assume he'll be up all night -- who would wanna watch him sleeping for a few hours? LOL)

LOL....I wanted to watch it but forgot it was going to be on. I'm gonna have to tape the Tick tonight, I'll be at work and won't be able to catch it...:(

Thanks for reminding me! Gotta watch "The Tick," even though I've seen the pilot online already. :D "24" will have an encore presentation on Friday, I think...so you've still got a shot. This is definitely the kinda show you should either see ALL of, or basically none of. :)

I can understand why on "24", I mean you would be lost if you didn't see every episode. If you caught every other episode you would still be lost. CRAZY...what a ploy to get people to watch Fox...LOL...

Just found this thread...

I really liked the first episode, and although I didnt get to see all of the second, I'm attached to it.

I'm really surprised that they didn't postpone the second episode one week-- with the plot including a plane blowing up, and it airing one day after flight 587 went down.

Encore presentation of the second episode is on tonight on Fox...not sure of the time.

Just saw another episode. It was from 3AM to 4AM...so I think that makes it the fourth. It was the encore presentation. I think that means I've seen 3 of 4 now...but missing one still sucks...badly. I'm gonna go scour the 'Net and see if I can find some episode summaries to make sure I'm up to date...I wanna be informed and ready when the big finale hits in, oh, 5 months. :D

Well they didn't air the show this week due to the Billboard Awards. They did, however, run to back to back new episodes of The Tick...:D
