Thought it would be interesting to hear about everyones holiday plans.....

As for me, i've finished 1st year of Uni and am home with parents till my lease for our house starts in September or term starts in October. So i'm working lots to earn some eating/drinking money for next year. Went to Download Festival which was awesome, later on going to visit parents on their holiday in Spain and meet a friend there, then end of August it's Reading Festival (if i havn't sold my ticket).

Shall probably go on holiday somewhere, Turkey and Morocco have been mentioned. I went to Brussels for a few days last week, it was pretty excellent, although I don't fully leave uni until the 27th which is irritating. I'm just going to have to spend 2 weeks sitting about watching films and going punting. As for killing time at home, there shall be much film watching, scotch drinking and Counter-Strike playing.

Last summer (is that meant to be capitalized? I always think it should be, but often see it not) I spent a lot of time learning Japanese which was quite fun, I might take that up again, having forgotten most of it now. Don't worry though, I'm not one of those scary anime freaks (apologies to any scary anime freaks).

And I'm going to go for dinner at Gordon Ramsay's on my birthday, if I get a table. Otherwise I'll go the day after.

Watching too much fricking football ;)

I should really bomb out to Spain for a bit n'all. But, y'know, money. N time.

Might settle for taking in some festivals-on-the-free instead. Altho the one i had an 'in' for got cancelled. Bleh.

Funny, they're the reason why i am so not impressed with Reading lineup this year. Don't think they deserve headline slot but then, very few bands even deserve to be on the main stage.

yes well, if i'm not mistaken you like iron maiden...nuff said....and you're a spoiled brat, if a had a chance to go to reading, i think i would pretty much explode from the excitement, there's at least 20 of my favourite bands performing...:(

I'm hardly spoiled, Reading tickets cleaned me out, and Iron Maiden (who i'm not a massive fan of, have no albums of theirs) are a band much more suited and able to headline a major festival. The fact that My Chemical Romance are billed ABOVE Slayer speaks volumes at the demographic they're hitting this year, and thus the lineup blows for me. I think that the main stage should be for established bands with a stronger career, more than just the flavour of the month.

Plus there should be more met-al. \m/

oh man....i'm so jelous you have no idea....i have to do something about next year, save money all year round or summink because that is without a doubt the greatest festival in the world...( although i'm not quite sure if i could handle so many people, i've never been on such a large event and i would hate to pay that much money and have to use binoculars to see the bands...:-/)

I get what you mean about binoculars, last year i went to the main stage at the start and spent the whole day there to be in the pit for Iron Maiden. Though at Download, where i skipped stages i couldn't see Prodigy for poo. The size of the even is a plus though, the atmosphere is unbeatable, the whole vibe is buzzing for 4 days.

yeah, but i would imagine it's rather difficult to go from stage to stage with so much people...and stand on your feet all day clinched between 100 thusand crazy teenagers is not my idea of fun....still, it's worth the money just to experience the vibe...:) plus i'm sure most of the bands i would want to see would be more accessible....

I start my landscaping job on Monday. Once I do that, I will be working two jobs for 60 hours a week.

Somehow, I will still be broke.

Still working on global domination, other than that, not much.
Drinking too much, falling over a lot, getting badly sunburnt on that one sunny day a year that qualifies as summer in Scotland, and getting lots of strange looks from the honeys.
So, to sum up, pretty much the same as every summer..........

You know, stuff.

That stuff being, in this case, finishing an overhaul of another site of mine, biking a lot, moving out (some place in Baldwin, or possibly Dormont), hopefully making significant progress on a new site that's been in the works for about a year and a half, and just generally tweaking MoFo.

Finishing a site for a friend.

Experimenting with Flash dynamic content.

Taking the chilluns to San Antonio, Sea World, Fiesta Texas etc.

1 Rum soaked weekend in Galveston whereupon I shall kill brain cells and indulge all manner of my hedonistic tendencies (the chillun shall not accompany me on this trip).

1 Non rum soaked weekend in Galveston whereupon I shall endeavor to construct, with the aid of the chillun, the grandest castle of sand to ever grace that particular section of beach. What the hell, I'm growing older but not up. :)

FINALLY finish my site in full dynamic Flash

Write a few short stories, do some painting (both walls and canvas) etc.
