Year of the dog, i believe.

I was born in the year of the horse :)

"People born during the Year of the Horse have a pleasant, amiable, easy going disposition which guarantees popularity and a large following of friends. Blessed with good humor and geniality, they are extremely comfortable to get along with for they have the knack of instantly putting people at their ease.
Charming and cheerful, the Horse is an extremely likable character. Hard working, self-possessed and sharp, the Horse skillfully acquires power, wealth and respect. However, the Horse's sometime-appreciated frankness can be tactless. The Horse's impatient pursuit of success may become selfish and predatory. Horses can be obstinate. In truth, they are more cunning than intelligent, and they know it. This is why, despite that air of assurance, the Horse lacks confidence in himself. He is very quick-witted and he is right in there with you before you have had the chance to finish what you were saying; he's on to the thought in your mind even before you've expressed it. This permits the Horse to forestall any arguments that anyone can dream up."

I'm a dog....
:nope:
but I don't know what my chinese sign is.
I think it is actually dog, there are 12 animals.

"Among the animal zodiac, Dog individuals are the most humanitarian. To the Chinese, Dogs represent justice and equality. These are the givers in life, prepared to sacrifice their own dreams, ambitions and desires for the sake of others, particularly for those they love. Fiercely loyal to those they love, Dogs are ever ready to jump to the defense of any member of their family or friends who is being attacked by either word or deed. They have a penchant for championing the underdog. Born with an innate sense of decency and a need for equalibrium in a chaotic world, Dogs strongly denounce injustice and wrongdoing, generously giving useful and effective advice to those around them. Their warmth, empathy and genuine interest in others win them many close friendships. "

It sounds great, monkey anarchy... good band name.

Alarming for some, but not me, there is the fire horse

"About the Fire Horse

The six decades spanning the gaps between the years of the Fire Horse mean that this rare sign occurs only in the years 1846, 1906, 1966, 2026, etc. These years are bad for Horses themselves and bad for families who have a Horse in the house. This is because the Fire Horse's influence can change from beneficial to malignant, and during these years all Horse families will become subject to illness, accidents and bad luck in general."

"horse in the house" heh.

I never payed much attention to it before now, but since over half the people at my job are from Taiwan or the PRC we closed early on Friday and we're having some sort of Chinese New Year party on tuesday. I spent part of the weekend with some friends in N.Y. and had a gay ole time in Chinertown.

Thank goodness for sister Rosa or I'd have ended up with an assortment of pint-sized battle geniuses, proto-fascist moguls, movie idols with big ears and bad breath, tricky politicians and troubled 'do you need a brush because I've got one 'ere' artistic sorts.

My fellow oxen, I salute you!

the DWP are the Department for work and pensions in the UK. These are the people that our mad friend was talking to you about.

So, in translation, I do not need to be a fire horse to lose my wealth because I have the DWP doing the same job.

I don't actually think I have explain myself any better,:p

Oh.
Yeah, that whole situation sucks moose. I hope Shaz toasts those bastages for you.

The funny thing about the firehorse thing is.. I've had my chart done just last week, (the regular, Greek, sunday paper one) and it also said all this about wealth. That and the horse thing both make it really clear I'm supposed to be wealthy, and someone did NOT get the memo on that topic. So the firehorse thing kinda helps explain. :p

hey,Chinese new year doesn't fall on January 1st,we have the lunar calendar,so to us,the real new year is on Feb.6th.Plus,2008 is the year of mouse, not dog.You seem to be interested in Chinese new year,;) then I think I have a say here.:D
But I have 3 tests to take this week, damn busy. After all these hassle stuff, haha,I'll just stick to this thread and talk to you about all these.
but first,I can tell you the order of all these signs.

i'm a Red Fire Tiger..

My Chinese horoscope says:

"In your work, don't try to get ahead of schedule; patience will pay. Erect an impenetrable barrier between your career life and your private life. Closely control the studies of your children; given them advice and support their efforts. If you must manipulate inflammable or corrosive liquids, be doubly cautious; an accident is likely to occur this day. You'll lay down plans with your friends, and will enjoy extreme popularity among them."

Is it mouse or rat? I was always under the impression that I was a rat (although looking at the list of animals, cock seems more appropriate).

I'm officially a water rat. Or something. ;)

Thanks for that. :)

Someone told me I was an Ox but I had to explain to them that the Chinese New Year doesn't happen at the same time as that in the Gregorian calendar. ;)

Anyway, I've never been called a rat by a woman who's grinning. Usually they're shouting and throwing stuff at me... :D

Edit - Looking at the link you posted, this actually sounds like me (though my limited knowledge of astrological stuff leads me to believe that it's rarely gonna call you an idiot ;)): Water is your element and this makes you more artistic, sensitive and able to communicate with others. You should guard against becoming too easily hurt and over emotional.

Someone told me I was an Ox but I had to explain to them that the Chinese New Year doesn't happen at the same time as that in the Gregorian calendar. ;)

You are absolutely right to this point. This is the tradition, and because of this, the majority here have their birthday celebrations in Lunar calender, which means each year, the date changes in Gregorian calendar.I don't know if I had made it clear,ok,let me explain it in another way,my birthday for example,In 2005,my birthday was on Nov.9th.In 2006,it was on Nov.28th and this year(obviously this is not Chinese new year yet,so it's still 2007)it was on Nov.17th(after I became a member to this forum;) ) But these three dates all come down to one date in Lunar calendar,Oct.8th.I was born on Oct.8th in Lunar calendar and Nov.9th in Gregorian calendar.
If you were Chinese, your birthday should be on Dec.3rd.You would have had your birthday celebration on Jan.10th in 2008 instead of Jan.6th.lol.
I suppose I made this even more baffling, lol.
Anyway, this is typical Chinese custom, for your information.:)

I read how they they say about me-person,exactly opposite to yours,FIRE is my element. It says Fire is your element which makes you more outgoing, assertive and passionate. You should guard against becoming aggressive and reckless.
I would say,50% of them is true,if I know myself well,which I think I do.:D
