Um a little help here please?

ok so i like screwed up the settings on my computer, I'm currently running XP. I was playing around with the visual settings and now everything looks really big and no matter what I do i cant get it back the way it was. And could someone tell me how to get the writing inside different windows to appear bigger?

Well if everything is big, you probably changed your resolution. Right click the background of your desktop, choose display properties, click on the settings tab and slide the resolution a few notches to the right til you like it. Though don't choose the highest resoultion possible as your monitor may not be capable of displaying it. I'd start with 1024x768 and go from there.

As for bigger text in different windows? Tricky if you want it to be application specific, but many apps may have an option built in. I know most browsers have an option for text size...

1. Click START, and then click CONTROL PANEL.

2. In the control panel options, click the DISPLAY icon.

3. A window should open. Click the APPEARANCE tab along the top of this window.

4. Locate the words "Font size:" Click the arrow underneath to access the font size drop-down menu.

5. Click LARGE FONTS or EXTRA LARGE FONTS from the menu (depending on how big you want your text).

6. Click APPLY, and then click OKAY.


That should do it. Good luck.

If you are using I.E. you can change text settings in the "view" option at the top of your toolbar, just go to "text size" and see what looks best for you.. Im sure firefox has similar setting if thats what you use.
