For those who have heard about the new BIG LEBOWSKI edition coming out, don't hold your breath....

Features include:
English and French DD5.1 Surround
Spanish DD2.0 Stereo
English SDH, French and Spanish subtitles
Introduction by Mortimer Young
Jeff Bridges' Photography
Making of The Big Lebowski
Production Notes

I have to say that this disappoints me, I would have expected at least a cast commentary somewhere. Here is the cover art for the new special edition from DVD times.

$19.98

For those looking to spend a little bit more money, around 49.98 you can get the Achiever’s Edition Gift Set, which includes The Big Lebowski Bowling Shammy Towel, 4 Collectible Coasters that include photos and quotable lines from the movie, and 8 Exclusive Photo Cards from Jeff Bridges’ personal collection.

Doesn't sound any better than the vanilla edition that I got for $10, and the gift set, A TOWEL AND SOME COASTERS, WOO HOO! Now I won't need to go to homegoods for those items! I can just go to Best Buy and kill two birds with one stone.

I picked up the basic edition with Jay and silent bob for 15 bucks, perfect condition.

I was waiting for this to come out, now I'm not so sure. The special features look pointless. Wait, I don't watch them anyways. I'll go get me the regular old edition on DVD, already got it on vhs, might as well get another.

I'll be picking up the Achievers Edition, if it's released in R2. I'm sure the picture quality will be a whole lot better than the vanilla version I have.

it didn't take me long to realize that i never watch the special features on DVD's mainly b/c they're pointless. Commentaries are worth while and most of the stuff on Criterion collection DVDs are wroth while, but these studio releases are lame, just another way for them to try and sell you the same thing again and again. I'm for the vanilla version. But i must admit, that box is pretty sweet!
