Can someone go over the listing of DVD Routes and their locations for me? I know about R1 (America) and R2 (UK) but I need to know this all. I appreciate it. :D

Wow. Arabia, Eygpt, South Africa and Japan are all part of Europe. Has anyone told them?

Actually they said Europe..."including"...those you just named. I don't believe they meant to say they were part of Europe. ;)

I thought Arabia, Eygpt, and South Africa are part of the African Continent and Japan is part of the Asia Continent? At least that's how my "Risk" board game showed it. :D

PLEASE WILL SOMEONE HELP ME?

Sorry because this is not written in a new thread. I have not done enough posts to make a new thread!!!
I have a DVD that is American, and it will not run on my computer DVDplayer because it is the wrong country. Is there anything I may download to enable my DVD to play? Thank you very much if you can help me!

(Excuse my bad grammar in my post before I edited. I just checked. Aargh! Sorry!)

DVD Region-Free v1.50 can do the trick i believe. You have to look around to find one.

I heard that within the next year or two, dvds will be coming out the same time as the actual movies do in theatres? How accurate is this. How can theatres survive if this happens?

This definitely isn't going to happen

If it does it guarantees that the studio will lose money as many people would (sensibly) just buy the movie on DVD. This means the money men are missing out on income from the theater release and that ain't gonna happen. They know x amount of people will always purchase the DVD release anyway.

How well did Steven Soderbergh's little experiment of releasing a movie in theaters, on DVD and on cable at the same time go? I don't think it would ever work well for big budget movies, but maybe for smaller films it might be a way to go. I think they just see it as a way to prevent pirated DVD's from taking away some of their profits.
