pretty cool. i wasnt a memeber when the site looked like that but it was kinda fun looking at the old stuff
Man, tracking down some of those old threads is freaking great!
Came across the 9/11 thread (http://www.movieforums.com/community/showthread.php?t=1006) and was fascinated by the initial responses. I remember the day specifically, I still remember exactly where I was that day/that night/the morning after, but I had forgotten the actual reactions alot of people had right away.
I found it a very interesting read.
And who could forget the Laurie L. DVD days and MoFo's slight impact:

Really? I can't recall everything that happened that day... and I certainly don't remember anything about September 12th.
EDIT: I remember what I wore though, and I'm keeping the shirt as a memento.

Yep. I remember finding out about it from a guy in my Math class' pager, then when classes switched and Mr. Constantino made the announcement I went to physics and Doc found a TV, we rigged up some rabbit ears, but the only channel we could get was in Spanish so we muted it and listened to the coverage on DC 101. I remember all the distraught faces at lunch and the people who weren't grasping the gravity of everything that happened and the ******* kid who said, "this is a great time to pick up girls, they're all vulenerable." School got out early and instead of waiting around for the bus I got a ride home from John Hyland, we talked about a discussion he had a day before with this guy Greg Gill about the towers and what would happen if they fell. We talked about Osama Bin Laden, this was all before any of that stuff was known of course. My dad was out of town and I had planned that night to go to my friend Grant's house to reformat my computer and put Windows XP on. I did, we didn't have class the next day so I stayed over at Grant's with my friend Jon. We played CS once our computers were working, I disctinctly remember no one wanted to play as a Terrorist. The next morning we went to IHOP and I remember thinking how great it was to be at IHOP on what should have been a school day, but how sad I was because of the conditions for why I could be there. :-\

Oh, that's right. School was cancelled the next day.
I was in Ms. Gerlock's art class when Mr. Constantino made the announcement. First thing I remember hearing from anybody was boys laughing during the announcement. Sick. Then I saw Tori, can't recall her last name, who was scared. Class was dismissed and I went to Mr. Ondrof's journalism class where we watched the coverage in black & white on his TV. I felt like leaving and going out to fight these bastards. I thought a lot of them were gonna start fighting us on our land.
Pretty sweet OG....Pretty sweet indeed.

That 9/11 thread is one of like 6 threads I have subscribed to here. Somehow, I found it months and months ago, and I was also struck by the immediacy of the reactions. It's like a time capsule.
I'm just sorry i didn't join at day one

Hey, I've been here since the beginning, despite my paltry post count. (Note "Join Date" on right.)
Then again, I'm Yoda's mommy, so I was "here" in some sense long before he was. ;)
Yoda, where are the days of The Warning Track site of aeons ago? THOSE were the Good Ol' Days, for sure! Got archives of THAT masterpiece? (Your grandmother printed out all the email versions for you, but what about the site itself? Is it gone forever? Any screenies?)
www.waybackmachine.org has a September 2000 listing for thewarningtrack.com, but it's not in their archive. :-\
Try warningtrack.net instead.
Anyway, I've got some old section logos and graphics and files. Here's the last logo it used before calling it quits.
The old site on Tripod is still accessible, too. Humble beginnings, to say the least.
