Wouldnt it be great to wake up in the morning get your coffee and open up to the funnys of your newspaper and have a Family Guy Comic Strip? I think that this would be great considering the show has so many good one liners. Now this is in no way happening its just an idea I thought up. What do you think Funny or not?

Funny, but I don't think that any paper would print Family Guy's humor. It can be pretty raunchy at times.

I think that I'd look forward to a Sunday strip more so than the dailes because they can be longer and in color (course where we live our dailes are always in color... nice! :D )

I don't know. If the paper can put up with the humor and the possible angry letters written to the editor, then they should probably call up Seth MacFarlane now.

The Family Guy would work muck much better in a comic book/graphic novel format than in the newspapers. There 's a more better chance for it to pass the censors. ;)

Yes thats true but the newspaper kind could have better one liners.

The Simpsons had a short-lived comic strip that ran in the Chicago Sun Times for about three weeks. But it got cancelled because too many people were writing in, complaining that the strip was "tasteless and far too violent". And trust me, if The flippin' Simpsons weren't family orientated enough to be published in a major newspaper, I doubt that Family Guy would make the cut, either.

Plus, Jrs is right. The strip would be completely corny and unfunny. You can't successfully condense most of Family Guy's humor into a three or even six cell comic.

Are you kidding me? Family Guy has so many quick and witty jokes. But the only thing stoping it would be its raunchyness

I would have to agree that to guys like us, nothing would be more sublime than having a family guy comic strip in our Daily Newspapers but realistically, there's no way in hell it can be done both pleasing us and the Newspaper. Just can't happen. But that would be so great though. Personally, I'd love to have it in my paper, my posessive side says, but another side of me says i don''t want people to think that comic strip represents American Families. That's why the paper's will never print it because it's too lewed to even consider it a reflection of American Society. I'll stick with my Hagar the Horrible and umm...damn. I don't even know which ones I read anymore. LOL. Garfield's dull as hell and I always hated peanuts. But nothing more than that stupid Secretary Comic strip that had no punchlines and no freaken point. Close to that was Dilbert which was funny because they made fun of it on Family Guy! That's awesome. Maybe they were trying to say something...hmmm. Won't happen though. :D
