Hi, i've recently haven't been posting for awhile due to homework and video games. (But mostly video games)

Not really an "agree or disagree" question, but for the purposes of the survey...sure, I somewhat agree. And to be clear, I've never taken a class on it, I wouldn't call my opinion especially "educated".

I suppose I agree. Mildly.

No. Disagree. Not in a one-to-one correlation anyway, no.

I guess I would need to know how you define media. In terms of news programs, newspapers, etc... not really. If terms of advertising, music, etc I would say yes... though parents should be able to control how much 'media' their children are exposed to.

To some extent... and I just watched Saturday morning cartoons with my son the other day so I am in fact educated :) I think the bigger problem is that children and young teens are allowed to watch things they shouldn't be watching.

Yes... depends on the media you are watching/listening to. Some have a positive influence, others a negative.

No. I think it glamorizes violence in the inner cities and those who perpetrate that violence, and kids, being more impressionable (presumably) than adults, are influenced by it. But I think it affects anyone who watches it. Michael Moore made an interesting observation about the amount of crime that is broadcast featuring ethnic groups, and how having that reel playing in our every day lives causes us to expect violence from those ethnic groups. I think he had a point.

It depends so much on what people are watching and what their other influences are. And on what you mean by "good effect". As one example, if it teaches kids to get home before dark, that is a good effect, but if it does that by making them terrified to be out in their own neighborhood, that's not so good.
