The film is strong enough to stand as one of [Eastwood's] better works and if it were a bit tighter and shorter...I might have been able to call it a masterpiece....

When done honestly and courageously, an innovative angle CAN be successful. But when tainted by mainstream gimmicks, deceptive advertising, and cliche characters, it fails miserably....

Cherry 2000 is pretty offbeat stuff that plays more like a wacky cyberpunk comedy adventure, than an action movie. It's a little slow at times, and the production values are decidedly second rate, but the film is full of ideas, and always entertaining. ...

It was laughably camp, and painfully cheap. With that said however, the film was entertaining, all be it in a 'so bad it's good' fashion, and was also notable for David Hasselhoff in one of his first film roles.

Choke not only manages to be an entertaining comedy, it also becomes a very good example of how to streamline a 300-page novel into a movie that's just shy of the 90-minute mark....

Cloverfield is a worthy blockbuster in that it treats its audience with the respect they deserve. The acting may only be moderate, but it's the spectacle you've come to see, and the excitement that satisfies....
