It’s my second favorite animated movie of the year so far, right after Wall-E and right before Kung Fu Panda....

Although clearly daft, The Borrower is a surprisingly enjoyable romp, full of black humor, and offbeat characters. The story is derivative of Jack Sholder's 1987 flick The Hidden, but McNaughton injects some visual style and decent twists to keep things interesting....

Gondry is a talented filmmaker with a creative imagination and the talent to bring it to the screen. But, Be Kind Rewind fails to crack that genius he has and makes it way to us as a decent film, that could have been so much more....

Overall this is an above average crude comedy that has a good number of good laughs in it....

...your enjoyment of this movie will depend on whether you find the aggressive man eating sheep hilarious, I didn't....

Is there anything worth a merit or two for this film? Not really. I expected something thought provoking, heart wrenching, tear jerking, positively moving... nope. Just a lot of trips around the world and worries about what family members are thinking....
