This film falls neatly between films like Spiderman and Batman Begins. It balances the cheese of a movie like Spiderman with the darker, grittier side of Batman Begins....

Iron Man manages to overcome quite a few obstacles to become a surprisingly chirpy comic-book action movie....

Will Smith gives a very decent performance of a driven man who's conviction and loneliness has driven him to the edge of sanity, but I found it nigh on impossible to feel any real sense of dread or danger at the cartoon baddies....

Not for everyone, it's a tad slow in places, but as an insightful drama that keeps you intrigued and guessing it ticks all the right boxes......

Don't take it too seriously or you'll miss Jackie's daring stunts. Just sit back, relax, and have a good laugh at how crazy the man can get....

I'm not sure if Juno really captured something special but it certainly got plenty of feathers ruffled along with soap boxes dusted off and even some high horses fed....

So overall, obviously not a great flick but I still got some enjoyment out of it....

As for this movie's bread and butter, the effects. They were great, blood and guts galore! I mean when people weren't getting shot, they were getting stabbed, when they weren't getting stabbed they were getting dismembered....

Taught, suspenseful and intelligent, the film stays clear of becoming a gore fest and a barrel load of cheap frights, and in its place we are left with an intresting cat and mouse type thriller....
