With Independence Day: Resurgence coming out here in the UK today and those who voted to leave hailing this day as our National Independence Day, I thought it would be apt to take a look back at the first movie: simply called 'Independence Day'.

This movie seems like a tribute to Star Wars in a way, as well as Alien and other outer space movies.

Its another simplistic alien attack movie and a disaster movie to boot.

Aliens attacking earth are always fun to see, and of course kicking the Alien butt is also fun to see happen.
