I am going to assume that a lot of the narrative for Hedwig is shuffled around in the songs, and as much as I thought the music was awesome, I'm not a big lyric kind of guy.

Hedwig and the Angry Inch

I give props to John Cameron Mitchell, for not only directing the film and having a unique style, but for diving head first into the lead role of Hedwig.

Seen once, this movie is a fun, funny, charming musical ride. On second viewing, I got even more out of it, as the symbolism of Hedwig's pursuit of Tommy gelled for me.
