First off, I have to say I did not see this movie by choice. Now that that is out of the way, let's get down to business.
Let me start off by saying that I knew this movie was going to be terrible, but I was taking a family member to see it so I wasn't going alone. You always know a movie will be bad by the trailers they show before it, well, in this case anyway.
Steve Oedekerk shows just how bad a movie can get when you Write, Direct, and Star in a movie. I'm not saying there weren't funny moments to this movie, there were more dumb parts than funny and I caught myself looking at my nephew's friend when a scene of pretty much nothing would come on and we pretty much had the same look on our faces.
What starts off as really pointless, is a disclaimer saying they took an old Chinese movie and dubbed over any previous work claiming it as their own. This pretty much goes downhill from there.
I really don't want to go on about a movie I didn't like, so I'll tell you what to pray for. At the end of the movie they did a "In the next episode...", which, I hope, was just a joke because if Fox greenlights a sequel to that pile of crap, they deserve to get laughed at.
Long story short, don't go see this, don't even rent it when it comes out on video. You'll save an hour and a half(not even that) of time that you can waste on something more meaningful.
