Me and SilentVamp have come up with a Hall of Fame (Hof) idea for Twin Musical Hofs. You can join one or the other, or both of the Hofs.

Each has a different set of movie nomination guidelines which are designed to compliment each other and give members different choices. Link to SilentVamp's: Musical Artist Movie Hall of Fame

Eligibility: For my Hof, movies under 220 minutes, that are live action and are traditional musicals.

What's a Traditional Musical
Movies where the characters are actually singing several or more songs, (not just singing a song on stage like a band or music played in the background)....but actually breaking into song at a drop of a hat If you have questions PM me.

Procedure:
Everyone watches all the nominated movies and we discuss them in this thread. There might be 6 to 12 movies and the length of this Hof will be approximately 2 months which gives plenty of time to watch the movies. You need to write at least a short paragraph about your thoughts on each movie, after you watch it.

Please don't join if you don't intend to watch all the films and discuss them. Members who don't finish will have their movie nomination disqualified from the Hof.

Deadline is June 1st

I'm in. I have a few musicals I love in mind, give me a bit to ponder which one I want to make you guys watch.
Thanks guys for joining! There's still plenty of room at the party! Do we have any more musical movie fans?

We have a new member Nestorio_Miklos joining us! Glad to have you aboard! and he's choose a very cool movie too.

welcome shop!

hey, clazor! Pretty curious to see what ya nominate!
Was jumping between a few different choices. Aside from the one I chose in the end, I considered Oliver!, Bedknobs and broomsticks and Repo! The genetic Opera. That last one I saw for the sci-fi countdown and was blown away by the set design as well as the totally over the top antagonists.

I remember loving Repo when it came out, it was really popular among my friend group. That being said, that was probably 7-8 years ago, so who knows if I'd still like it.

As far as the music went I wasn't blown away, but the climax at the theatre has the best performed number I think.

Women will be your undoing, Pépé
haven't seen the repo musical but heard a lot of good things about it
and I was seriously considering Oliver! as well lol. Also thought about Chitty Chitty Bang Bang too before going with my nom
Haven't seen Bedknobs since I was a kid - should rewatch that some time.
