Felix was toon's first superstar during the silent era. But his refusal to adjust to sound made him a has-been when talkies arrived. His hard partying ways and scandalous affair with Clara Bow didn't help nor his drunken assault of Mickey Mouse. A later sober, more mature Felix made a comeback on television in the fifties by sharing the spotlight with a talented ensemble cast including The Professor and Poindexter. Today he lives in semi-anonymous retirement as the owner of a car dealership.
