Well my dizzy ass needs something to play till mid May when Ghost of Tsushima comes out, and I opted for Out Of The Park Baseball 2025. It's backed by MLB which is surprising since you'd think they'd put the initials in the title for marketing purposes.

From what I can tell it looks like Fantasy Baseball, mixed in with MMO, ... not your typical sports game. Hey, if it's interesting enough to keep me from tinkering my real Fantasy Baseball team down to a nub like most seasons then Im all for it.

Well guess what? It ain't! All the players are made up fictional people. What's the point? I would say "What a gyp!" but since I got it on Steam I put in for my refund.

I bought Baldurs Gate 3. Downloading it now. Hopefully my laptop will be able to run it tomorrow. If not, at least I'll know (and get a refund). The only 2 games I own now on Steam are BG3 and Ghost of Tsushima.

I wish I knew I could delete games from my Steam account permanently. I woulda just done that with Skyrim since that was the only game I played despite owning dozens of others. I instead deleted the accounts. Believe it or not.

Finally some good news on the videogame front, I am able to play Baldurs Gate 3 - HUZZAH! It looks and feels great. Also based on D&D lore so much should be familiar. I stopped playing at the 3.5 edition, I know more races were introduced after (Devils? Really?)

Gave me an option for a custom class, I made a dwarf thief (dwarves like gold). I dont know if a custom class is a requirement though. Im gonna go back in-game and see. If it isnt then ill just play one of the premade characters just to keep it simple and sweet for the first playthrough.

Curious if this game will have a stranglehold on me so much then when Ghost of Tsushima launches I wont be able to pull away? Thatd be a nice problem.

Ill stop spamming the thread now

BG3 is pretty great, yeah. You might get hooked. Not that that's a bad thing.

I'm in the third act now, might finish in the next week or two. Reasonably high probability of a second playthrough.

Im going back to where I started and going to get Fallout 3 and New Vegas working this time. Then get that Tale of Two Wastelands mod so I can play them at the same time with 1 character.

BG3 just didnt grab me. Kinda makes sense as Divinity Original Sin didnt either. I wanted them to, I even said they were awesome to convince myself, but the yearn just wasnt there. I think years of playing Open World Skyrim ruined me for other games. Hopefully mid May this will all be moot as Ghost of Tsushima launches.

Simply unable to get Fallout 3 to work, tried everything in my skillset, so got a refund again on it and New Vegas.

This morning I bought Cyberpunk 2077. Hope I finally found a winner. Looks like a more current graphics version of GTA 5, and I'm sure is more flushed out with their story and character development, fingers crossed

Sorry guys if I'm spam killing the thread.

That elusive hide-and-seek cow is at it again
BG3 was weird to adjust to with the camera and movement controls. I really hated that, as I expected more of a World of Warcraft style of camera controlling with the mouse. The click-to-move setting just kept throwing me off as it made me feel that I was playing more of a real time strategy or something and I just wanted to move and look around. I started on PC for context.

Later, I found two coworkers had the game on PSN, so I got a copy to join them. I've mostly enjoyed the switch. There are posts of mine scattered about the last several pages with updates and such on my experience. After the guided tour with the coworkers, I've been playing my solo campaign and have found that the game is quite fun, now that I know what the heck is going on and how to actually DO anything!

Our group has recently started Act 3 or whatever the sections are called. My solo game is still in Act 1, but I am moving much faster and story beats make so much more sense now.

I hope you revisit it one day to get past that initial, and confusing (IMO), intro level.

Yeah ynwtf I think I will give BG3 another go. One hour really isn't enough, and I haven't heard one bad review on this game.
