Lucid Dreaming

I remember having a lucid dream just recently where I was watching and following myself in a third-person view ( like I was just an spectator) and I was aware that it's a dream but I don't think I was manipulating it. Then, in an instant, I was in somebody's body and I started walking . It did felt very real and weird at the same time. I woke up but can't remember how the dream ended.

A few years ago, I experienced a layered dream (like in Inception, but not lucid and shared) and so far this is the only one I can remember. I was in a very strange place (trees with large roots overlapping each other, that sort of thing but I cannot clearly remember) but in my dream I felt like I know it or it seems like I was very familiar with the place. I was with people that I know, friends/relatives and we where like trekking or something. I remember someone spoke to me, but with strange voice, made me think that I was in a dream. So I woke up in a sudden, still aware of the dream I just experienced, then after a few seconds somebody emerge from under my bed. I can't describe/remember what I saw but it scared the **** out of me that It woke me up, this time I was sure I was in the real word. So I gathered myself and processed it for a while. It all came back to me, the dream and the nightmare. Then I realized it was some kind of layered dream and I was totally fascinated. No joke. I told about it to my friends the next morning lol. Dreams are really something. Normally some of it would just fade out of your memory by the time you wake up, and you won't recall it that easily.

Hi,
I just read about a technique called Lucid Dreaming. The article says that through that technique,we can control our dreams like "Inception".Have you heard about this?I wish i could learn this thing.I googled and i couldn't find the exact answer.
I have read some instructions tried that last year and 2 years ago and it did not work.

I have found that you can do everything in a lucid dream that they did in Inception except for sharing dreams and talking to your sub-conscious. Also, studies have shown that time is the same length in both a dream and in waking life. This was tested by eye movement in a lucid dream.

Although, I have found that you have more control over your dream. For example, you can choose if you feel the pain from a gun shot. Also, a lucid dream can be as realistic and vivid as waking life or even more vivid. Most of the time, I can feel the wind and temperature.

As for the lucid dreams collapsing and not lasting very long, I have heard of people making all their dreams lucid, and so that means spending 8 hours in your wildest fantasies, although I am not to that point yet. There are also people who can learn new techniques in a dream. For example, I got the "feeling" of doing a back hand spring in a lucid dream. I heard of someone learning a new running technique in a lucid dream.

The most common way to become lucid in a dream is by a dream sign or a reality check.
I wrote 2 articles on lucid dreaming, What Is Lucid Dreaming and How to Lucid Dream, http://hutudb.com/artcl.php?a=what-is-lucid-dreaming and http://hutudb.com/skills.php?a=how-to-lucid-dream respectively.

About sleep paralysis, it is completely normal and can actually help you induce a lucid dream. Getting scared and panicking does not help you "get out of it", it only post pones. Relaxing should make it "go away". When your in REM sleep, your deepest sleep, you are in sleep paralysis. REM stands for Rapid Eye Movement. Your eyes are the only thing that still moves. Also, in REM sleep is when you have lucid dreams and the dreams that you remember. And in the other stage is when you do sleep walking and talking. So it is very unlikely that you will act out your lucid dreams.

People typically have around 8-12 dreams every night, and when someone says they did not dream, they only did not remember they're dreams.

You can read more in my articles I was thinking of writing more articles on inducing a lucid dream and more about lucid dreams, but didn't think many people would read it. So if you would be interested in reading more, please let me know.
