Five films series

There were five films (I think) about a boy (about 16 years old). About 90 minutes each. His name might have been Josh something, or maybe not. There were other kids in the films. The films were science fiction / fantasy with one or more lead villains. I seem to remember him able to travel between places by some unnatural means. American. 1980's, 1990's.

Definitely not. The films were not that well known and may have been made as TV films.
