‘Slumdog Millionaire’ Advances in Oscar Bracket Challenge

“Slumdog Millionaire” edged out “No Country for Old Men” when the two Academy Award winning pictures went head-to-head in the first round of ABC News’ Oscar Bracket Challenge.
Only 48 votes separated the two films after the first round of votes were tabulated in our contest to find the best Oscar-winning movie in the past 64 years of Academy Award history.
Take the Oscar Bracket Challenge!
That means “Slumdog,” which earned 3,058 votes over the 3010 for “No Country,” moves on to the next round of voting, which opens Feb. 9.
Joining the film will be last year’s best picture winner “Argo,” “The Kings Speech,” “Titanic,” the first two “Godfather” films, “Lawrence of Arabia,” “All the King’s Men” and more. In total, 32 films will move on to the second round.

I hope Slumdog millionaire does not win it . I haven't seen it but my friends say it gives a very negative stereotypical image of India .

Lol. No country beaten by Slumdog? Slumdog is one of the worst BP winners in quite some time.
i think some stupid indians are voting and making it top the list . india's population makes it easy to outclass others in terms of votes .

This is some BS. I actually enjoyed Slumdog for it what it was, but I want to rewatch No Country so bad, it's just that freakin' good. It's far superior to Slumdog IMO.

I hate both of them to be honest with you, but i at least respect No Country as a well made film while Slumdog is just overly melodramatic crap. After looking over the best pictures winners, i'd say The Godfather is my favourite.
