It seems we're just one year away from the kind folks at Sight and Sound once again declaring what the definitive greatest films of all time are. What are your predictions? Do you think the list will change at all, and if so, how? Post away.

Being the HitchFan that I am, i'm desperately hoping for Vertigo to take the top spot after 30 years of crawling higher and higher... but it's probably just wishful thinking. My predictions for the top 10, if one were to combine the critics and directors:

1. Citizen Kane
2. Vertigo
3. The Godfather
4. The Rules of the Game
5. 2001: A Space Odyssey
6. 8 1/2
7. Tokyo Story
8. Raging Bull
9. The Searchers
10. Battleship Potemkin

I'm just going out on a limb here. There very well could be appearances by Sunrise, Singin' in the Rain, Seven Samurai, Rashomon, Lawrence of Arabia, Bicycle Thieves, etc.
