Spoiler: SCENIC ROUTE 2013 question

Wow great movie!!!!!!!!!! I loved it..... but the ending confused me... did they really get rescued or was it a hallucination?!

Ahh nobody saw this last night and it's still driving me CRAZY!!

I'll just describe a bit more... but like I said...

MAJOR SPOILERS BELOW~DO NOT READ UNLESS YOU'VE SEEN THE MOVIE

Ok, so blah blah they are stuck in the middle of the desert... all a sudden the cell phone rings and BAM they are rescued and now all a sudden their lives are going perfectly the way the described they had hoped it would. I was so happy about the ending when all a sudden A TWIST, he calls his friend as asks "Do you ever think that maybe things are too good to be true so we might still be in hole in the desert having a hallucination?" and then when he lays in the bed, all a sudden it shows him laying in the hole, practically dead.

Anyone want to describe to me what they think actually happened?

Did his life really turn out perfect and the ending is just him recalling his life changing experience at the desert, or was he really still in the desert imagining how his life would have turned out had he been rescued?!

I wasn't sure about the ending either. It could have been a dream, it all seemed too perfect.
