laserdiscs: still better than dvd or blu-ray?

Tools

in terms of vision and sound quality, I think that laserdiscs are still unbeatable
plus some movies and concerts are available on laserdiscs while not available on dvd and blu-ray formats.
examples

the Alamo (director's cut , john wayne)
Mgm happy harmonies
son of the morning star
steve miller band, live
Madonna, the virgin tour live

Scientifically, the Laserdisc resolution is not even close to that of a blu ray. But, some people like the chroma noise and color bleeds that standard definition/analog formats provide, myself included. As much as I like flawless reproductions of cinema, I do have a soft spot for that blasted out look of laserdics, and VHS.

It's like comparing Def Leppard Hysteria to Velvet Underground recording technique.

I think?
