Goriest Death of all Time

Anything in Ricky-Oh is supreme gore. The wood plane in the face, the punching out a guys stomach. Lots of red in that un.

yeah maybe its stupid lordsaytan, but it seems to be habit forming, its the way it actually sounds when you say it, it seems so hard to find something offensive now adays, **** just doesn't have the same effect it used too. seems like everyone hates the fact people identify them as being homosexual so that has taken its place. i appologize if its offended you. but thats it purpose...

It doesn't offend me as much as irritate me. I've never been a homophobe, but I've never been friends with many gay people either. I could care less either way actually, to each his or her own. The reason it irritates me is because it's so stupid. It's like saying, "That's Phatty" or some other nonsense like that. Why is it so hard to express one's self without using ignorant slang?

I play a lot of online games like Warcraft III, Diablo II, and Dungeon Siege, and when I read on their forums I go nuts! All these kids think it's cool to transpose numbers into words, i.e.; n00b for newbie, or 1337 for elite, it drives me nuts! I'm getting too old.

One last thing, during the months I've been here, this forum has prided itself for having a higher percentage of intellectual conversation. When someone comes in saying things like, "That mother ****er is so full of ****, he's so ****ing gay! He should get on his knees and..." I get angry. There are members here that are quite young, I think our youngest member is 11 years old. Would it be hard typing mature posts that don't have to be offensive? What's the point in it? Are you going to change the world for the better by alienating yourself? Ah well, I'm rambling.

Your not rambling Slayton. I think your expressing what a lot of people are feeling, at least I do.

But, I do have to say TWT has been scarce around here lately...

I mean Yoda. I thought TWT was another way to express that, sorry.

Yes, Joe Pesci's death in Casino was pretty brutal.

I have seen plenty of gory deaths in very gory B films over the years. But these films, and their subject matter, were over the top and quite comic-bookish in their style.

Not disturbing, just gory. Any of the better zombie flicks will have some blood and guts in them. Dawn of the Dead, Evil Dead, the new Night of the Living Dead, etc. Day of the Dead was extremely gory. As was The Thing.

But the most disturbing, stark, and brutal deaths I have seen in the movies were mostly non-gory.

Someone mentioned the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The best death was the first one; when Kirk gets slammed by Leatherface with the sledgehammer, and flops a bit on the floor in that strange little room. Then Leatherface baps him one more time, and SLAMS the door shut. Exclamation point! Swift and savage....and a perfect way to initiate the latter half of the film, when it takes off in a crescendo of terror and frenzy. That remains one of the most brilliant scenes in horror movie history.

One of the goriest and most disturbing murders I have seen in a long, long time was a recent viewing. The very fine horror flick, Dagon, boasts a face skinning scene that is very graphic and focused. It is not easy to watch. But it is a highly recommended film.

One very brutal, but not bloody, death was Piggy's head/spinal crushing scene in the 90's version of Lord of the Flies. Again, swift and savage; and totally realistic.

I can't wait for Rob Zombie's House of a 1,000 Corpses to come out in March (supposedly). The initial reactions from mainstream Universal studios, who originally were planned to release the film, were ones of shock, and were described as "visceral violence." It was a degree/style of violence that was not imagined on paper. Sounds interesting.

How about the guy in Event Horizon who gets hanged by those little hook things on his back and his chest sliced open so all his insides fall on the operating table

Blade II was one of the most disgusting things I've ever seen. I heard that the remake of House On Haunted Hill was even worse. And this isn't off a website or anything, I heard this from my otha' brotha', Jeremy.

WARNING: "House On Haunted Hill" spoilers below
the beginning starts with a 1940-30's Insane Asylum. The doctors torture the patients by not giving them any pain-killers why they perform painful operations, but then the crazy people escape and put the doctors under the operations they put them under, only they kill them in the process. One of them was playing with one of the guy's insides with his bare hands and poking at them with a pencil!

not a death, and not really gory either. But when Cathy Bates crushes James Caan's ankles with a sledgehammer.....it gives me the creeps. Just for reference, in the book she actaully cuts off his foot (along with nine fingers). But personally think the sledgehammer is more disturbing.

I See You When You're Sleeping
In the movie 'Day of the Dead' a military commander is surrounded by zombies who tear him apart from head to toe. You actually see all the insides come out. It disgusts me still. (But I love it!)

two of my favorite deaths in the movies would have to be from halloween movies
one from halloween 3...i know...i know...this was a poor excuse for a movie but did you see the way the laser beam went into that womans face...collapsing it...then spiders and snakes and other insects come crawling out....my oh my...makes my blood rush

and as for the second
even though we didn't see it happen i have to say that "jimmy's" death in halloween h20 where he has a nice lil ice skate stuck in his face
ahh
that's the stuff dreams are made of

"Halloween 3: Season of the Witch" is not a poor excuse for a movie. In fact, for it's time, H3 was not only original, but it had great special effects. Please reconsider your stance on a great horror film

I rent movies from an on-line DVD site, and H3 has a rather long waiting list!

The Adventure Starts Here!
godzero,

That television guy who shot himself was, I believe, here in Pennsylvania. And yes, Filter's song "Nice Shot" was about him. His name was Bud Dwyer and it was in Harrisburg, Pa. I believe the local TV station ended up showing it live at the time. Gahhh.

Ironically, someone mentioned in this thread (which I'm just reading for the first time) the death scene in Black Hawk Down -- which I was actually WATCHING from the next room as I read that post! So I guess the guy dies...? Talk about spoilers! Real-time spoilers. Cool.

My goriest death scene was the first 25 minutes of Saving Private Ryan. Saw it in the theater and spent that whole first half hour trying to talk myself out of getting up and leaving. I could barely breathe, was in a panic the whole time. It was suffocating, it was so frightening. (The realism gets me. I don't get nearly as scared about zombies and vampires, but real-life stuff like war, etc., scares me. That's why I'm in the NEXT ROOM right now while BHD is on!)

I cant think of many right now but One of the only vivid ones right now isn't long and disgusting but its kinda sick is when The cannonball takes that one dudes head off in The Patriot.

Shame on you Mr Bush, shame on you!

No, they did not use real cadavers. Thats just a myth and an urban legend. It was made for the same reasons Blair Witch (a movie that owes everything to Cannibal Holocaust) was made: to trick people into believing it was all true.
BUT, they DID kill and torture real animals, Thats pretty sick aswell. The makers was later investigated for animal cruelty and was punished.

They did, by the way, an autopsy on a real kids cadaver in Men Behind the Sun.

The Future Ed Wood
Final Destination 2 has some cracking good ones. The barb wire is a favourite of mine as is the air bag.

Most of the ones in Battle Royale are pretty mean as well

Lucio Fulci's Zombi. There's a scene where a woman is hiding in a closet. The zombie punches its arms thru the door and pulls her face into the splintered wood. Of course, her eye is right in the line of fire. They show every gory detail.

Eye horror always gets me.
