Most disturbing film for me would have to be " The Girl Next Door " based on a true story .

agree

Hotel Rwanda
Sometimes reality is the most shocking

Martyrs is a very disturbing film. Very well-done, very unsettling and appallingly violent, and because it stays true to its very dark vision of existence, it succeeds as an intellectual horror film as well.

Haven't seen a lot but movies I've seen that I think are pretty disturbing are:
-Oldboy
-Eden Lake
-Se7en
-A Clockwork Orange

Mordum

American History X

The Bib-iest of Nickels
The most disturbing movie, in my opinion, isn't held by a movie that is actually even moderately entertaining. I didn't find "The Girl Next Door" excruciatingly disturbing, but it surprised the holy-hell out of me when I watched it because I had a compilation of ... um .... discs that had ... the titles written in marker on blank discs, and I thought that it was the comedy about a guy with a porn-star neighbor. Clockwork Orange, Seven, American History X, Eden Lake, and numerous other considerable movies, I didn't find excruciatingly disturbing either. I am stalling, because I think the most disturbing movie is something like Human Centipede 2, for all of the wrong reasons. It was a horrible, horrible movie, that most accurately fists the bill as "Torture Porn", but that doesn't make it any less disturbing.

Please tell me that's not a typo. I so want it to be an attempted pun. *fingers crossed*

"The Girl Next Door"?

The one about the porn actress?

Yeah... it'd be pretty sucky to sleep with a porn girl. But disturbing...

Seeing as this is a thread about "disturbing" films, I assume he means the 2007 adaptation of Jack Ketchum's novel "The Girl Next Door", itself a thinly veiled retelling of the Sylvia Likens murder case that took place in Indiana in the 60's. An American Crime (same year, Catherine Keener; Ellen Page) is the far more accurate and harrowing interpretation of the events.

Scissors cesar hand would be a very disturbing movie for me and the Saw.. oh could not sleep for nights. very bad
