Gangster Rap is Shakespeare for the Future
Ceylan is great, Once Upon a Time in Anatolia is one of the best films in recent years, reminiscent of both The Wind Will Carry Us and Stalker. I'm glad that Godard got an award because it means I'm a fair bit more likely to actually be able to see his film in a theater, which is actually a necessity for it. It makes sense that he won because the innovation that's always present in his films is more accessible now applied to something like 3D that's so unexplored.
