If everything was fair and just then life would actually be more boring, as nothing unexpected could happen (good or bad) unless it was earned or deserved, or else it wouldn't be fair and just for everyone else. This unpredictability is a good thing and makes life seem more real and exhilarating for everybody.

What if your local government made it compulsary to give a DNA sample, would you give it willingly? Protest against it? or do nothing?

They had temporarily escaped the factories, the warehouses, the slaughterhouses, the car washes - they'd be back in captivity the next day but now they were out - they were wild with freedom.
