I need some recommendations for 2014 films.
But I'm picky!...
I'm not looking for: Hollywood block busters, action/thrillers, animation, foreign language, superhero movies, crime/murder, vampires/zombies, magic or zany comedies.

Thanks The Raid 2 sounds intense and I'm sure it rocks, but not my kind of film.

Predestination is a good time-travel movie that you might like.

If you like action and great cheography you will like it. It's not a blockbuster or nothing, but yeah, your descriptions made it clear it might not be your thing.

I'll recommend Ida, I think you will like it. And maybe Mr. Turner.

I'm researching each of your films and will add them to my list if I go with them. And I have some questions about them too. But I got to run for an hour but will be back.

P.S. I forgot I had seen The One I Love, I liked it too, interesting film.

Lilting, which is about the relationship between a Chinese woman living in Britain whose son has recently died, and her late son's partner, as they try to understand each other despite the language and cultural barriers between them. It's a really quiet drama, I liked it a lot.

A Most Violent Year... it says action, crime, drama on IMDB but I would say it's mostly drama. I think it was one of the best movies of 2014.

I just remembered Locke and Enemy were also quite great... not sure if it's something you'd be interested in. Oh and The Double.
