Rank the Best Picture winners of the 1990s

I think they all are amazing films other than shakespeare in love which I only consider moderately good. how do you feel about these films I am interested in seeing others rankings here is my own list. please remember just because a film finishes in the bottom half of this list doesn't mean I think it sucked.....they are all very good besides Shakespeare which IMO is on a lower level then the rest.

1. Forrest Gump - puuuure masterpiece
2. Schindler's List - it's the best Spielberg movie for me,followed closely by Jaws.Very touching and interesting.
3. American Beauty - there are some movies which connect so much with some people and they tend to call it they all-time favorites.It's like they understand such movies better then most people.American Beauty is one of them but not for me.I like it but I feel that I can't completely understand it.
4.Unforgiven - very interesting to watch but basically,that's it.It's enough for me,anyway.
5. Silence of The Lambs - I've seen it once and didn't like it as much as people do but it's decent.
6.Titanic - used to watch it often when I was little but even then I found it just too romantic. )
Haven't seen others except for Braveheart which was,I believe,the first movie I've seen.Don't remember it.I know I've seen Shakespeare in Love not even once but I don't think I watched it all.Dances with Wolves seems just boring,probably never will see it.

Overall i'd say the 90's was not bad for the best picture picks, only counting the nominees of course. One of my favourite ever films won so that's good enough. Also Dances With Wolves should've been in my 90's list, i've no idea why i didn't include it.

Haven't seem Dances with the Wolves. The top 7 are all very good movies that everybody should watch.

Quite a good batch to be fair. I've never seen Shakespeare in Love and I've only seen about 2/3 of The English Patient so can't properly rate them.

Have seen all the others but not recently enough to rank them.

Unforgiven and Schindler's List; I wouldn't want to choose between the two.

Most, if not all, of the rest are rather typically "Hollywood" (which is not to say bad).

As I've mentioned on many threads before, I have become less and less enchanted with FORREST GUMP with repeat viewings and have a hard time thinking of it as a masterpiece.

It is a masterpiece though. And gets BETTER on repeated viewings.
