Cassavete wrote a lot, especially my favorite of his, "A Woman Under The Influence" -- he wrote it initially as a play, but his wife Gena said she'd go nuts playing it every night, so he made it into a film. There's a nice interview on youtube describing this, taking questions from the audience. Really great stuff.
