Tyrannosaur
I picked this up after seeing the trailer from another film I had purchased. I knew from the outset that I was going to get a dark drama but what I received was something else. This film isn’t for the light hearted the language alone will put a lot of people off (I was going to show is this to mum but I won’t be now). The story follows Joseph, a drunk with a violent temper and Hannah, a Christian charity shop worker with an abusive husband and how their chance meeting changes each other’s lives.
It is a harrowing film, the violence is extreme but it seems to highlight the kindness and compassion in the friendship that gets created. It one of the few films that has dragged my emotions all over the place, from me despising the main character to making me so sad I cried. It’ll probably be a while before a watch this again, but it was worth it.
