And then I recently saw a movie in NYC (probably only playing there?)called Online about internet porn. But the amazing thing is there's actually a love story there (well that's not so suprising), but it's a good one.

Perhaps mainstream america is finally losing its puritanism bit by bit?

Loving Annabelle was extremely sexy!

No contest.

9 and a half weeks is by far the sexiest film i have ever seen.

Pick your scene....Kim Basinger watching the slide show, the scene where they have sex on the stairs in the rain, the ice cub and food scene.

Why, when we try to think of a sexy movie, does it have to have sex in it? Rhetorical by the way. I agree that sex does make a movie sexy (or trashy depending on the film), but can't a movie be sexy without ony sex in it.

To me, I think lighting and cinematography can alone make the movie sexy. For example, Van Helsing. Debate its merits as a film all you want, but it was a sexy movie...and not just because Hugh Jackman is so dern hot.

More recently, while not your standard film, the new AFI music video, Love Like Winter. There is no sex or romance (really) in it. Heck I don't even know what the song is about. But the video is gorgeously sexy, all due to the lighting, camera angles, music, and set. In case you might be thinking this, I do not actually find the AFI band members to be particularily attractive, so that is not an influence. Watch it, see for yourself.

Of course a "sexy" movie does not have to have sex in it, but, certainly the thought of sex has to play a part. Even if it is only "make-out" sex. For some reason I think Garden State is very sexy.

MOVIE TITLE JUMBLE
New jumble is two words: balesdaewrd

The individual words are jumbled then the spaces are removed. PM the answer to me. First one with the answer wins.

I think Palmetto is the one

Crash and Bound definitely.

Crash for its subversive take on what actually turns us on and why. Cronenberg is a master at getting to the root of primal sexual fear and in this one he turns it on its ear and shoves it right down our gullet.

Bound is just a damn fine flick, I love Gina Gershon and Jennifer Tilly is more than tolerable (a first) the love scenes between the two go beyond the typical male-centric pornographic lesbian archetype. I didn't feel sleazy while watching it just a bit bothered and that is in a good way.

I think its a matter of what is done with all of the above, definately. If you apply the above criteria to films like Blade Runner and Trouble in Mind you can come up with some interesting results. Blade Runner is just sensual and ravishing visually yet the sex scenes are pretty middle of the road, same with Trouble.

What makes a film (or a person, for that matter) sexy to me is a combination of elements, cinematography, lighting and sound, a good story that keeps a controlled lid on the sensual/sexual aspect of the plot yet betrays some inkling of want. I think American Beauty is also a candidate for that, again the blatant sexuality of it is very low key even in the more overt scenes, but the TONE is one of anomie and want for something more and better. THAT is what I find sexy, the tease, the taunt, not the resolution of it.

god, i thought the movie Domino with kiera knightly was soooo hot.
