Didn't realise that the City of Culture celebrations were still going on.
Aaanyway, a friend of mine has just got back from holiday and brought me back a selection of rude fridge magnets. These will sit well in my collection of ... zero fridge magnets.
I thought she knew me?

Nah, not at all. This little place has far too many begrudgers and I am from The West, too.
Also, a load of new art galleries and theatres can only be a good thing but it's just a shame that Gregory will always be on hand to provide an alternative viewpoint when people start enjoying themselves...
Just still kinda bummed out... one of my doggies died yesterday. She was old, and I knew it wasn't going to be long... but it's still not easy saying goodbye....

Small people running around and making far too much noise. That, and I've just spent an hour with my nan. I love her, but she has alzheimer's and she drives me mental. Between the three of them, I can feel my brain slowly running down the back of my neck.
I know the feeling, hk. I don't know if my grandma has actually been diagnosed with alzheimer's but spending time with her is a severe test of my patience. At least, though, if I do slip up and lose it, she forgets what I said two minutes later anyway.

Aww, that's not nice. I've buried three dogs over the years. Two lived to ripe old ages and one was only three.
I've buried 3 doggies and 2 kitties in the last 5 years... but only 2 of them was from old age... I say every time I'm not going to get anymore, but then run into one that needs a home... and I can't stand it when they give me "that look" ... they know a sucker when they see one...
Trying to figure out how to get rid of my sunglasses tan line, I look like I have a permanent Zorro mask on.
Sorry to hear that Cait' we went from 3 dogs to none last year because they were all older. Just got the new one recently, and it is "suckers" like you that give them a good home no matter how long they live.

Sorry to hear this, Cait. I know the feeling. I can't even recall how many pets I've lost in the last few years, including a cat that I'd had since early childhood.
But I'm a sucker, too. Only it's not so much the animals that know this, it's the people in my life.
