Touch Of Evil is the definite Orson Welles masterpiece, should be regarded as Citizen Kane is, purely masterful. A Streetcar Named Desire didn't do all to much for me. It's hard not to be affected by the last act obivously, but prior to that it just felt like the film was running around in circles.

My List:
3. Touch of Evil
5.Les Diaboliques
6. Wild Strawberries
8. People Will Talk
11. Duck Amuck
14. In a Lonely Place
19. The Klilling
23. The Cranes are Flying
25. Kiss me Deadly

Forgot to include
Night and Fog

I'm not really crazy about either movie. They're both alright and they both have some things going on that are worthy of praise, but that's it.

Although neither made my list, I can see their classic status. I much prefer Touch of Evil. I can watch that one again and again and find new things to love about it. But Streetcar, for me, is an unrelenting bleak affair, that although with fantastic acting, is a movie I probably will not watch again. Still, I expected them to be on the list, which gives me hope for my picks that remain.

List:
1. The Night of the Hunter #25
3. Harvey #31
5. The Ten Commandments #29
6. Shane #64
7. Witness for the Prosecution #24
8. East of Eden #43
12. The Big Country #66
13. Ben-Hur #30
16. Anatomy of a Murder #35
18. The Quiet Man #51
23. Wild Strawberries #23
24. High Noon #28

Sorry if I'm rude but I'm right
Both masterpieces, but only Streetcar Named Desire made it into my list. #22!

Look, I'm not judging you - after all, I'm posting here myself, but maybe, just maybe, if you spent less time here and more time watching films, maybe, and I stress, maybe your taste would be of some value. Just a thought, ya know.

I came very close to listing King Creole as my 25th movie. I mean it's directed by Michael Curtiz and has some of the best songs Elvis ever did in a movie Add to that, it has on location scenes in New Orleans and it's more edgy than he's latter films. It's a good flick.

I expected Streetcar to be higher.

I Was Figure Street Car Named Desire Be Somewhere between 12th To 7th spot. I also am not sure why but I just have a feeling its time soon for some type of Hitchcock Film soon. Most Likely Rear Window or North By North West since many seem think Vertigo would be much higher.

Yep, but it wouldn't be at all surprising if it did at all. Come to think about it its one of the most popular films on the forum, seen by a lot, liked by pretty much everyone who has, seemingly more accessible and less polarising. It's like if Movie Forums rated films like Rotten Tomatoes it'd be close to 100%.

If I had seen it more recently, The 400 Blows probably would've been higher on my list. I thought it was a very powerful film, and it was my #7.
