Rank the Michael Bay films

Tools

We all love to hate his films, right?

Bay is overly excessive with a lot of things. His films are slick, but in a tiresome way. Every single one of his movies looks and feels the same. So what is the best of the bunch?

Rank em here folks.

For me the list goes like this:

1. The Rock
2. Pain & Gain
3. Armageddon
4. Bad Boys
5. Transformers
6. The Island
7. Bad Boys II
8. Transformers: Dark of the Moon
9. Pearl Harbor
10. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

But what is the aftermath? That's the real question.

The Rock is his one genuinely excellent movie and the only one I care to watch occasionally, though the Bad Boys movies are a guilty pleasure.

28 days...6 hours...42 minutes...12 seconds
You can think of it as a ranking of crap, I guess.

My list looks similar to yours. Pearl Harbor and Revenge of the Fallen tie for dead last for me. Yuck.

For me(put in bold the ones I like best):

Transformers: Dark of the Moon
The Island
The Rock
Pain & Gain
Transformers
Armageddon
Bad Boys
Bad Boys II
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
Pearl Harbour

Of the ones I have seen -

1. The Rock
2. Transformers
3. Armageddon
4. Bad Boys 2
5. Dark of the Moon
6. Bad Boys
7. Revenge of the Fallen
8. Pearl Harbor

My friend also pointed out to me that in the new Transformers trailer, Mark Wahlberg mentions that he "found a Transformer." We both kind of agreed that we couldn't remember them actually calling them "Transformers" in any of the three previous movies. From what I can remember, it was either Deceptacon or Autobot.

I love armageddon... I'm leaving on a jet plain

Thane of Glamis, Thane of Cawdor, & King Hereafter
Of his films, the ones that I've seen are Pearl Harbor (figured it would be a nice historical...it wasn't), Armageddon (Deep Impact did the "destroy the asteroid before it hits Earth" thing better), Transformers (just...no), and Pain and Gain (wrong place, wrong time sort of deal).

So, out of those four, here's what I got:
1. Armageddon - 5/10 (Compared to Deep Impact's 6.5/10)
2. Pain and Gain - 4.5/10 (Tried too hard to be something it wasn't, from the looks of it.)
3. Pearl Harbor - 3/10 (What do we do with a tragic event? Turn it into a love story! Sorry, but it barely worked for Titanic.)
4. Transformers - 2.5/10 (Where do I start? The constant focusing on the humans, the bland romance, the stale masturbation jokes, or Shia LeBidoof?)

I sometimes feel like Michael Bay is the preferred whipping boy of anyone whose inner child has disappeared.

Haven't seen The Island yet, but, with the exception of Dark Of The Moon, I like all of his films I've seen and consider The Rock as one of my all-time favourite films.
