I hate the media. Have you noticed the current day-to-day coverage on gay "acceptance"? First the whole Supreme Court sodomy case, then the new Bravo TV shows, then the opening of the gay school in New York -- which is ridiculous, I think -- to this big BOING! Oh, what a bummer, everybody, the President isn't going to allow gay citizens the right to get married.

This is outrageous.

Personally I find nothing wrong. A persons sexual inclination is not an option, it is part of who they are since birth, and frankly that should not be held against them. Gays deserve to have the same right to marriage as hetero couples. It is a declaration of ultimate love and gives security and protection in financial and grieving times.

Bush is probably one of those people who believes marriage is and only ever was and should only be for the purpose of children.

Even if gay individuals weren't born that way, but rather chose to be gay, who cares? As long as you don't infringe on the rights of others go ahead and do whatever makes you happy. We only get one life, and we should all be able to spend it as we please.

I'm entirely with Kong on this one. People should be able to do whatever makes them happy as long as it doesn't infringe upon anyones rights.

That said, I don't hate people for thinking the opposite. I think it is really silly to try to stop people (the same difference with the media caring about everything Michael Jackson does), but I don't want the hurt Bush or anyone else for not being for gay marriage.
