The Shoutbox
I remember the top loading VHS players.
My Mum told me when I was about 2 years old I put a jam sammich in it because it was hungry.
My mate's parents had a Betamax player. All I can remember was that it was massive, far bigger than our VHS machine, which itself was the size of a small hatchback.
True... I guess people choosing MP3 over minidisk and VHS over Betamax hasn't taught us anything.
I've spotted a nice Sony player though relatively cheap. My last one was Sony. Lasted about 12 years or so.
It's probably not worth their while spending money on such comparatively ancient (sorry) tech.

HD/HDMI stuff has never been cheaper. Treat yourself.
Since when did superior have anything to do with anything, Rodent?
I bet they would have one @ S-Mart.
Why the hell is it so hard to find a DVD player with S-Video?
S-V is superior to Scart yet new players all seem to be Scart only.
They're both equally accessible if I were to create them and post on Facebook.

Videos are everywhere. More accessible. Books on the other hand are easily accessible, just not used much.

I'm on the guest list for a book launch tonight.

In these days of Kindles and Amazons, such things are becoming rarer. It'll be interesting to see if anyone else there is under 60.
