The Shoutbox
like how family guy is just a carbon copy of every famous cliche. bojack does the same but with a horse face.
Took me a few episodes to find the timing of jokes, but after settling in I really enjoyed it. Especially once his addictions became a thing.
yeah, it's pretty bad. only reason it has a following is because the horse face.

I never thought it was pretending to be deep. I'd say it aimed for funny with a side of poignant or heartwarming.

And frankly, it usually succeeded for me.

Then again, I'm way older than you, have kids, and have been divorced, so perhaps the heartstrings were a little easier to pluck in my case.

FWIW I thought Ted Lasso was very mediocre for the first few episodes and it got a lot better. S1 and S2 are very good. S3 is okay.
Agreed. I enjoyed this show way more than I would have expected (it's definitely not my usual fare), and I'm glad I stuck with it and binged the whole series.
i was thinking bout making a funny video to try and sell the Mazda3.

"hey boomers, you sick of your millennial child always asking for a ride or to borrow your car? buy em this and you'll never hear from them again"

"the brakes do work, but i need a good 800ft to stop at 25mph"

"don't brake too hard on the interstate. unless you wanna see the other side of the concrete barrier."

"you hear that slapping timing chain? that's how you know it's working. eat your heart out General Motors"
do yourself a favor and just watch Futurama

Don't listen to MattJohn. There's genuine insight in a lot of it. That said, every show that tries to be genuine about human condition/relationship stuff is going to seem pretentious to someone, so your mileage may vary.
