Dark Souls and Demon Souls sound like fun game. What system is it for and is it multiplayer?

I only have a laptop and PS3- my bf is always on the PS3 so I just stick to:

I can't play ps3, xbox or any game system game (unless it's animal crossing on nintendo) because the controlers are complicated. So videogame wise I stick with pokemon on my old school gameboy or...
