THAT is funny. :D

I get jokes.

And I'm sure Alfred Hitchcock will be happy to learn he's no longer the Master of Suspense. At least he can comfort himself with Master of Tension!

For me...Spielberg is the master of Sci-fi. George Lucas falls far short of that.

George Romero owns horror.
Takashi Miike dominates exploitation cinema, far more so than Tarentino.

Hitchcock is indeed the master of suspense, Shymalan wishes he were as good as Hitchcock.

PimpDaShizzle 09-28-04 10:36 PM

Agreed, Kevin Smith is the king of stoner B comedy.

Akira Kurosawa - King of all kings.

Pyro Tramp 09-29-04 01:06 PM

Gee, my bad, dont know why i put tension, i sureas hell meant suspense, honestly. I think M Night is also Master of Twist. Not too sure about Tarantino as action and violence, probably dialogue. James Cameron sci-fi action, Takashi Miike for violence on the films that actually contain violence.

Tacitus 09-29-04 01:47 PM

Ridley Scott - Master hack.
Quentin Tarantino - Master magpie.

Maybe we could have a subsection?

Harrison Ford - Master of the worried look.
Al Pacino - Master of the unnecessary 'Hoo-Haaaaa!'
Robert De Niro - Master scowler ;)
