Amazon Prime - Any Recommendations?
I just signed up to see something (that I already saw) and still have 29 days left, so if someone has a recommendation, I'd be interested. Thanks!

Re: Amazon Prime - Any Recommendations?
I just got an an Amazon Prime free trial cuz I wanted to watch The Night Manager with Hugh Laurie and Tom Hiddleston. It was a great six-part series, and Im very impressed with the lineup Amazon Prime has and all the different programming. It seems a cut above Netflix and what they have to offer.
Currently I'm watching the 3 part series of Agatha Christies "The ABC Murders" with John Malkovich, and it's even better. I'll be subscribing to Prime. |
Re: Amazon Prime - Any Recommendations?
I believe The Expanse is on Prime. If you're into Sci-Fi drama, this may be one of the greatest shows I've seen. I mean neck and neck with Battlestar Gallactica (reboot), if not passing it. I couldn't get into it the first attempt. It was slow to build. But the second time I tried I couldn't put it down.

If you haven't seen Fleabag, jump all over that. Just twelve episodes, forever, but they're wonderful.

Re: Amazon Prime - Any Recommendations?
I watched like 10 or 15 minutes of The Expanse and it's soooo sci-fi, I've found I enjoy most sci-fi when it's just a coat of paint and not like the complete product. I hope that makes sense. Star Trek and Star Wars are exceptions, Star Wars is more like Fantasy Sci-Fi. The Expanse does seem like a great production though and I'll probably give it another shot later on.

Re: Amazon Prime - Any Recommendations?
Oh.The Boys. Funny anti-hero run.

Re: Amazon Prime - Any Recommendations?
Yeah, pretty decent. I'm not sure if it quite strikes the right tone but it's pretty good. If you watch the first 20 minutes of the first episode of The Boys, at least, you'll probably know if you should continue.

Re: Amazon Prime - Any Recommendations?
Amazon prime has a great selection of films, better then Netflix. A much more varied selection of older films. I’ve had it for over a year now and stream from it almost exclusively now.

Re: Amazon Prime - Any Recommendations?
I just finished Agatha Christie's Ordeal by Innocence on Amazon Prime with Bill Nighey and Harry Treadaway, and it was as good as The ABC Murders.
Trying to decide next between Jack Ryan, Vikings, The Man in the High Castle, Fleabag, Sneaky Pete, or Goliath. I should try and break the binge viewing pattern and watch an episode of each. That's old school, and I dont know if I've the discipline to do it lol! |
^ Vikings..

The Expanse
The Expanse And did I mention The Expanse? Seriously, even if you hate sci-fi you need to watch it. I would also suggest The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel if you like to laugh. |

It was weird watching Jim Halpert in that role. Too, John Krasinski has maybe 3 acting emotions from what I can see. Others love it though, so definitely check it out. I'd be curious what you end up choosing and your thoughts when you get to them all :) |

Re: Amazon Prime - Any Recommendations?
I just did a search to see if there were already any Amazon Prime threads made before making one.
