Butch and sundance -- an all time movie favorite of mine
hustler -- HUGE fan of that movie
the sting "you're boss is quite the card player . . . how does he do it?"
"He cheats."
yeah, i know, newman doesn't speak in this quote, but they ARE referring to him, and its my favorite quote of the movie ::wolf smirk::
these are all excellent, older newman films and in some of his much more recently work, i thoroughly enjoyed him in road to perdition

Nice list Holden. I could mix up any of your top three in my top three position, though I expect most of the time I'd say The Hustler is his best performance.

What! No Slap Shot!!

I love that movie!
. One of the truly hilarious un-PC comedies ever, yet the theme is far more pertinent than so-called serious films made nowadays. I just watched it again last night.

Cool Hand Luke, for me. I haven't seen many of his films (in fact, I think the only Newman flick I've seen is Cool Hand Luke).

I absolutely love Cool Hand Luke, though.

Only seen both Cool Hand Luke and The Sting. Prefer the former, though both were great.
