THE MOFO CHILL CLUB
Interested in talking about anything in general? Join the chill club. Of course, that depends if the members accept you, but I'm confident we will have a pretty easygoing and accepting group.
We can talk about anything. Movies sure, but mainly life and just using this as a virtual place to hang out, when we are bored and what not. Treat it as if we are hanging out in a bar, a club, a restaurant. Whatever setting works for you. We can ask for advice from one another. We can throw birthday parties. We can drink. We can have celebrations. If anyone else has ideas we can do that too! http://www.personalitytutor.com/file...ith-People.jpg MEMBERS Rauldc14 Swan Godoggo Hit Girl MovieGal Sexy Celebrity DonnieDarko Moviefan 1996 Cobpyth http://www.onlinedegreeprograms.com/...09/friends.jpg |
Re: THE MOFO CHILL CLUB
It's started! Let's boogie!
|
I'm in.
|
Re: THE MOFO CHILL CLUB
I take it you are becoming a member then?
|
Re: THE MOFO CHILL CLUB
I don't think we should worry about members. This should just be a social environment where anyone can talk to each other. We don't want to exclude anyone.
|
Re: THE MOFO CHILL CLUB
True, though I'm sure some of us will frequent this more than others. Members will probably be more regulars.
|
Re: THE MOFO CHILL CLUB
So how is everyone?
Me, I'm slightly depressed because the last day of my vacation is today. I have to go back tomorrow. |
I'm in. I have begun some study just lately, so I'll be in and out a bit. But I'll definitely be joining in where I can. This place keeps me sane! (I think. :D)

The kids are in bed so what should I watch, All About Eve, Frenzy, or some West Wing episodes?
|
Re: THE MOFO CHILL CLUB
I'm starting back at school in the Fall, after a 2 year absence.
|
Re: THE MOFO CHILL CLUB
Frenzy I would pick. But that's me.
|
Re: THE MOFO CHILL CLUB
Raul is married.
|
Re: THE MOFO CHILL CLUB
And yeah, you can make me a member.
|
Re: THE MOFO CHILL CLUB
I am glad I'm done with that school business. 17 years was enough for me.

I really think we should get rid of the members thing and just let this be a free for all for people. I don't want them thinking they can't come in and chit chat. :|

Re: THE MOFO CHILL CLUB
What ever happened to that guy who was doing the MoFo 2013 Movie Awards thread? He has the Japanese Homer avatar, I think.
|
Re: THE MOFO CHILL CLUB
Mr. Sparkle?
|
Re: THE MOFO CHILL CLUB
Yes, I think so. He never announced the winners, did he?
|
Re: THE MOFO CHILL CLUB
No, he was probably scared off by BrowningIdentity's awards.
|
Re: THE MOFO CHILL CLUB
That's too bad. I wanted to see the outcome.
|
Re: THE MOFO CHILL CLUB
I'd assume Wolf of Wall Street would have dominated, and probably Blue is the Warmest Color. Those are the two films from 2013 most talked about here.
|
Re: THE MOFO CHILL CLUB
I actually voted for Jonah Hill for Best Supporting Actor for that thing. Not Jared Leto.
|
Re: THE MOFO CHILL CLUB
It would be could if Adele Exarchopoulos won Best Actress. That's who I voted for, anyway.

Re: THE MOFO CHILL CLUB
i voted spring breakers for everything.
|
Re: THE MOFO CHILL CLUB
I actually wasn't that impressed by Leto, to be honest. I wanted Michael Fassbender to win. Also liked Barkhad Abdi and Jonah Hill.

Best Actress: Selena Gomez- Spring Breakers

I think I still voted for Matthew McConaughey for best actor, though. |
Re: THE MOFO CHILL CLUB
I still haven't seen Wolf or Blue is the Warmest Color. And I've decided to skip 12 Years a Slave.
|
Re: THE MOFO CHILL CLUB
I like Leto's Rayon character more than Jonah Hill's Wolf of Wall Street character, though. But I do think that -- in a way -- the Rayon craze was a little overrated. I understood it, but I did feel that there wasn't that much Rayon actually in the movie.

|
Re: THE MOFO CHILL CLUB
I still badly want to do a group Wolf of Wall Street commentary.
|
Re: THE MOFO CHILL CLUB
I'll do it. I liked that movie.
|
Re: THE MOFO CHILL CLUB
The performances are definitely what carried Dallas Buyers Club for me. I loved Fassbender though, he got my vote.
I would be up for the group Wolf commentary if it's at the right time for me. |

Re: THE MOFO CHILL CLUB
If I like Wolf, I will do it. I'm holding off because I'm weird and I like to keep some directors films that I really like unwatched. Like why I didn't get to Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore until today. And I still haven't seen Mean Streets.

But as an actor, I like him. I liked him in the movie Chapter 27. Some other roles of his, though... I have Prefontaine and couldn't get into it at the time. And I remember him in Urban Legend. Saw nothing special about it, but that was just a horror film. |

I agree that Dano is often over the top, but I'm a fan of his. He's a good actor. |

Yeah, Boyhood. Keep forgetting about that one.

Re: THE MOFO CHILL CLUB
Godoggo, I tried to watch this movie you had on your favorites list -- Birdy, I think it's called. With Nicolas Cage.
That sounded interesting but I stopped watching after a half hour. I did skip to the end to see what happened. |

Boyhood is going to get too much credit because it took 12 years to make for aging effects. And everyone will love it. Just seems like a gimmick to me.
