One question i remember i had to ask , why is facehugger a snakelike thingy in this film? I didn t understand, is it a worm that ate the goo and transformed to this??

The black ooze is a mutagen the face hugers is an actual species

So that "worm" could have been a fungus or virus or mite that was living on one of the scientists...which mutanted into
