I stopped watching SNL nearly a decade ago.

So why even approach this thread? I'm pretty sure the topic was not how long ago did you stop watching SNL.

I still watch most wks, depending on the host. Most episodes are 2/3 lame 1/3 funny, which is only a little worse average than the show has usually had.

The Andy Samberg episode was excellent...second only to the Jimmy Fallon episode, which I still think was the best one of the season. I give #3 to Melissa McCarthy.
