My first viewing of The Perks of Being a Wallflower was so powerful, it gave me a little peace regarding my high school experience. It made me worry a little less about my problems..

The Shawshank Redemption changed a lot in me. The characters Red and Andy just had something in them, they changed my life. And i am thankful to them!

It puts your own struggles into perspective.

More specifically, I cannot turn a blind eye when I see a homeless person. I give them whatever I can spare. I've probably helped some get their drug/alcohol fix but I decided not to judge and assume the worst, just to help what little I can.

If it lessens misery, however temporarily, that must count for something.
