I'm not going to base my list on academy sensibilities as they are archaic and biased towards certain types of films.

I've always felt Boyz in the Hood was overrated, but it's hard to argue with Anderson, though I would have picked him for Boogie Nights over Magnolia...I think Boogie Nights is slightly better and has more re-watch appeal.

Nice to see some love for Glengarry Glen Ross...though the film contains some amazing performances (Jack Lemmon is my supporting actor of '92), I never considered the direction a standout element of this film.
